Explosive and dynamic, Lavonte “The Flash” David is making a name for himself as one of the quickest and most respected stars in the National Football League. Entering his 6th season as a starting Linebacker and Captain for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lavonte continues to build a legacy that started at just six years old. This Miami native is no stranger to standing out from the rest.  After an impressive first contract with the Buccaneers, the organization offered Lavonte a 4-year contract extension to continue his run with the team. In his first four years Lavonte recorded 577 tackles, more than Bucs Hall of Famer, Derrick Brooks (515). And his stats don’t stop there, in 2016 Lavonte put on a show with 147 tackles, he ranks in the top 3 NFL Linebackers in tackles, passes defended, and interceptions.

Although he is widely known for being a dominating force on the field, off the gridiron Lavonte is truly inspirational. He loves giving back to the Tampa Bay community and is passionate about impacting the lives of children. Lavonte hosts “Lavonte Legends,” a group of underprivileged children chosen from the local Tampa area, who get to enjoy home games at Raymond James Stadium. In 2015, Lavonte started his annual Backpack Giveback where he provides hundreds of students with Nike backpacks filled with school supplies. He also hosts his annual Charity Bowling event with Big Brothers, Big Sisters that helps to fund matches for the year. In 2016, he was named a BIG Champion Ambassador by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America! This year’s Charity Bowling Event will be on November 13th at Splitsville in Channelside Bay Plaza (615 Channelside Drive #120Tampa, FL 33602) for more information or to purchase tickets, please visit: http://Lavonte.kintera.org/2017
