Get ready thrill lovers, Busch Garden will be adding a new ride to their roster. The ride is planned to be open in the spring of 2019 and will be Florida’s tallest launch pad.

Busch Gardens has recently announced the plans for their new ride, Tigris. The name Tigris was named after the scientific name of the largest cat species. The new ride will feature an action-packed ride that will catapult riders not once, but twice before sending them off on an adventure.

Tigris will have looping twists with forward and backward motion, a staggering 150-foot skyward surge and epic drops that will be at a speed of 60 mph. The attraction is set to be built in the already existing Stanleyville area of the park, which is right by the Bengal tiger exhibit.

The ride was designed after one of their own tigers, Will. Will is one of many tigers that are currently classified as an endangered species.  While waiting in line, visitors will learn more about the endangered species and what Busch Gardens is doing to save them from being extinct. Busch gardens will be giving back 5% of any merchandise purchase to the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund to protect tigers and their habitat.
