For Dr. Bishai, veterinary medicine is where science and compassion meet. As an associate veterinarian with IndeVets since 2020, she brings steady expertise and adaptability to clinics throughout the Tampa Bay area, stepping in wherever care is needed and quickly becoming a trusted presence for teams and clients alike. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (2012), she has spent her career serving the pets and people of the community she calls home.
In addition to her VMD, Dr. Bishai holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Florida, a foundation that reflects her self-described “science nerd” spirit. She is passionate about staying current with emerging research and advances in veterinary medicine, bringing an evidence-based and comprehensive approach to every case she sees.
While she loves working with both dogs and cats, she has a special affinity for feline medicine. As a Fear Free Certified professional, Dr. Bishai prioritizes low-stress, compassionate care, ensuring that her patients feel as safe and comfortable as possible. She is known for her thoroughness, clear communication, and dedication to educating pet owners so they can make informed decisions about diagnostics and treatment options. Her goal is to combine clinical excellence with genuine connection—often delivered with her signature, slightly nerdy sense of humor to help put clients at ease.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her three cats—Fang, Bastet, and Scarab—who star in the household’s annual themed Halloween costumes. You might also spot her at a local street market or comic convention, celebrating her love of science, community, and a little bit of fun.
