Beacon Emergency Veterinary Hospital

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Dr. Paige now lives in St. Petersburg with her 13-year-old soul dog. She was fortunate to know from an early age that she was meant to work with animals, a sense of purpose that continues to drive her career today. She approaches each case with care and intention, always honoring the human–animal bond. Preserving that bond is her favorite part of the job, and she considers it a privilege to help families navigate both joyful recoveries and difficult goodbyes with compassion and dignity.

Dr. Paige earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University. Following graduation, she completed a year-long, emergency medicine–focused internship, gaining experience managing critical and complex cases, further refining her diagnostic skills and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Beyond patient care, Paige is a strong advocate for improving mental health within the profession, a field known for its high rates of stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue. She believes that excellent medicine is best practiced in environments where team members feel valued, supported, and uplifted—and where no one feels they have to carry the weight of the profession alone.  As a QPR gatekeeper-certified veterinarian and a strong proponent of Not One More Vet (NOMV), she works to normalize conversations around mental health and strengthen a community grounded in compassion and mutual support.

She is currently an early member of the team at Beacon Emergency Veterinary Hospital, Tampa Bay’s first locally owned, veterinary-led emergency hospital. Having been part of their early growth, she deeply values Beacon’s ongoing focus on respect, support, and teamwork as the foundation of its culture.

In her free time, Paige enjoys dancing, spin class and exploring St. Petersburg’s local coffee shops and wine bars.
