Emergency Veterinarian with VEG ER for Pets
Dr. Moses is an accomplished emergency veterinarian whose career has been shaped by clinical excellence, mentorship, and commitment to pets and the people who love them. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017 from the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI, Canada, where she developed a strong foundation in medicine, surgery, and collaborative patient care.
Following graduation, Dr. Moses relocated to Virginia to complete a demanding one-year rotating internship. This intensive training exposed her to a broad range of complex medical and surgical cases and confirmed that emergency medicine was not only her professional calling, but also the environment in which she could make the greatest impact. The pace, complexity, and responsibility of emergency care aligned closely with her clinical strengths and personal values.
For the past 5.5 years, Dr. Moses has been a dedicated emergency clinician with VEG ER for Pets (previously Veterinary Emergency Groups), where she provides advanced emergency and critical care to animals during their most critical moments. She is widely recognized for her calm demeanor, decisive clinical judgment, and ability to guide pet owners through high-stress situations with empathy and transparency. Her approach reflects a respect for the human-animal bond and the trust placed in emergency providers.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Moses plays an active role in mentoring and teaching new emergency veterinarians through VEG’s NERDS (New ER Doctors) program. She is passionate about developing confident, capable clinicians and is known for fostering a supportive learning environment that emphasizes strong medical decision-making, communication, and teamwork.
While emergency medicine remains her primary focus, Dr. Moses has a strong passion for surgery and seeks opportunities to refine her surgical skills. She finds her greatest fulfillment at the intersection of technical precision and human connection; helping people and their pets when they need it most.
