The Best Events & Entertainment Around Tampa!
Summer is here and bursting with hot fashion, fun, bright colors of sunshine and beachy waves sporting trendy accessories. Time to hit the town on that hot summer night with your friends or special someone and catch an event, theatre, concert or some type of entertainment that puts a smile on your face. Dress for the occasion and wear something that makes you feel amazing. Let’s highlight some fabulous events for May-June in case you missed it!
First Fridays of May: Locals stopped in at Pippa Pelure Boutique to shop their latest styles and enjoy a glass of wine or champagne until 9PM and mingle with other guests. Located in St. Petersburg.
May 5: Cinco de Mayo celebration at Georgettes Boutique in Tampa. Celebrating the day with cerveza, snacks and fashion with casual attire to show what to wear and how to wear it.
May 10: The Beth Dillinger Foundation hosted its 10th annual luncheon and fashion show, Value Me. This event benefits the foundations, Beth’s Closet, Nourish to Flourish, The Hope Chest, Beth’s Corner and the Beth Dillinger Scholarship Fund. Another great charity to give back to. This was held at the Hilton Carillon in St. Petersburg.
May 12-14: The Museum Store held a special Mother’s Day jewelry event at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. Great place to walk around and enjoy the nightlight and local shops.
May 13: Julianne and Derek Hough performed together as part of their Move Beyond Tour, joined by the Move Company Dancers for a night of ballroom, tap, salsa and hip hop. Inspired by earth, wind, fire and water, this show offered great energy, dancing, dazzling fashion, singing and fantastic choreography. One to watch for next time they come to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater.
June 3: Denim and Diamonds Brunch to benefit Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay charity. A sparkling event full of glitz, a little glam and you guessed it, denim and diamonds. Guest wore their favorite diamonds along with a casual attire and blinged out jeans. The event included fun swag bags, specialty cocktails, a silent auction, celebrity guests, delicious food and live music with dazzling diamonds everywhere. This fantastic charity helps those in crisis right here in our communities. This was the first annual and it sold out quickly. Don’t miss out on this next year. It’s an amazing charity truly helping others in need. This was held at the beautiful Bellair Country Club.
June 23: House of Glam presented an evening of “Flora: A Fashion Journey” featuring the Fall/Winter collections. Local designers showed their latest fashion trends on the runway. Afterwards left time to mingle, snack on hors d’oeuvres, drink cocktails and listen to live music. Guests had an opportunity to visit the lounge where they could shop looks straight off the runway. Their mission is to celebrate local artists, designers and businesses to enrich the Bay area culture. This event benefits Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and was held at The Regent in Riverview.
