Advanced Technology and Innovation
As the only academic center in the region, we often have early access to cutting-edge research into new therapies that allow us to continually improve our patient outcomes. We are home to the first and only 24/7 multidisciplinary cardiogenic shock program in Florida, with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) cannulation in the catheterization laboratory. Many of our programs offer procedures under moderate sedation and same-day discharge.
The Interventional Cardiology Center of Excellence maintains a state-of-the-art facility that features the latest technology in cardiac catheterization and a hybrid operating room, as well as live-streaming technology for education and conferences across the globe. This infrastructure allows us to offer a full range of minimally invasive therapies and procedures that result in improved quality of life and faster recovery for our patients.
Multidisciplinary Team Approach
We promote a multidisciplinary approach, recognizing that often our patients need or are receiving care through different specialties, including Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging. This allows our center to offer a comprehensive, highly specialized approach. This level of coordinated care is supported by our physicians, dedicated advanced practitioners, nurses and support staff to provide superior patient experience and outcomes.
Program Navigators
Each of our programs is equipped with a dedicated Program Navigator that provides a concierge level of attention and communication at all phases of care throughout the entire journey. Every patient can expect their Program Navigator to guide them throughout their journey, from start to finish, including frequent communication, clinic and testing appointments scheduling, pre-procedural workup, and all follow-up appointments after your procedure. Rest assured that your RN Navigator will be right by your side each step of your journey.
