Family Law Attorney/Solo Practitioner

Kari Solomon Brown is a family law attorney and owner of The Brown Law Offices, P.A., where she is known for her thoughtful, client-centered approach to complex and often emotional legal matters. Born in Lake Forest, Illinois, she moved to Tampa at age six when her father joined the University of South Florida’s medical faculty. Watching his leadership and success instilled in her an early understanding of the importance of guidance, discipline, and compassion—values that continue to shape her work today.

After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in criminology, Kari earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1997. She began her career as an Assistant State Attorney before transitioning into family law, where she developed extensive experience handling dissolution of marriage, Parental Responsibility and Timesharing, support, and post-judgment matters. In 2007, she founded The Brown Law Offices, P.A., creating a practice rooted in preparation and advocacy.

Kari defines success not only by outcomes, but by the experience she provides her clients. She is committed to ensuring individuals feel heard, informed, and supported during challenging transitions. Her guiding philosophy—“Be firm in your approach, but compassionate in your delivery”—reflects her ability to balance strong advocacy with empathy and understanding. Each day, she shows up prepared, responsive, and focused on achieving the best possible path forward for those she represents.

Kari has been married to Judge Christopher Brown, who serves in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, for almost 29 years, and they share two children. Outside of work, Kari enjoys time on the water, traveling, and being with her family and friends. She supports a number of local causes, with animal rescue being very close to her heart.
