Dr. B Integrative Veterinary Care
Dr. Michael D. Bartholomew (Dr. B) is a 25-year veteran of the veterinary field, earning his DVM from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. After discovering his passion for integrative medicine early in his career, he went on to obtain certifications in Veterinary Acupuncture, Tui-na, Food Therapy and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Then in 2016 he was awarded the first ever (in the world) Master of Science in TCVM from Chi University. He is additionally certified in TCVM End of Life & Palliative Care, Equine Rehabilitation, Magnawave and is Fear-Free® Certified.
Throughout his career Dr. B. has incorporated TCVM, homeopathy and many other integrative modalities into practice on a daily basis. He believes exceptional care is built on compassion, trust, and genuine relationships—honoring the bond between pets and the families who love them. With a career spanning 25 years and four states (MD, PA, NY, FL) Dr. B has spent the past 12 years practicing in Dunedin, FL. There he served as medical director of his hospital for eight years as well as senior partner for his last five. Dr. Bartholomew has treated pets across the US and around the world, including Turkey, France, England and Hong Kong and counts integrative medicine pioneers Marty Goldstein and Hushing Xie as his mentors.
Dr. Bartholomew is currently preparing to launch Dr. B Integrative Veterinary Care, a new house call veterinary service caring for both large and small animals within Hillsborough, Pasco, and select areas of Pinellas and Manatee Counties. He will offer a full spectrum of integrative modalities focused on high-quality, whole-patient care—relieving chronic conditions, enhancing cancer treatments, and speeding recovery. Dr. Bartholomew will additionally offer phone consultations to support pets and their families worldwide. He is also currently an Assistant Professor at Chi University and is completing his Doctorate in TCVM.
