Dining
For a celebration dinner worth remembering, Tampa’s four Michelin-starred restaurants set the standard this season
When the occasion calls for something truly special, whether an anniversary, a holiday reunion or a year-end toast with the people who matter most, Tampa’s dining scene has never been better equipped to deliver. In May, the Michelin Guide revealed its 2026 Florida selection, the first to cover the entire state, and four Tampa restaurants retained their One Michelin Star: Ebbe, Kōsen, Koya and Rocca. Each offers a distinctly different experience, and each is the kind of table worth planning a holiday around.

Green Star
Rocca
Set in Tampa Heights at 323 W. Palm Ave., Rocca brings a contemporary sensibility to Italian cooking. It is the sort of dining room that suits a celebration: warm, lively and unmistakably polished, with a menu built for lingering over several courses and a good bottle of wine. Gather a group, order generously and settle in for the evening.
Kōsen
Just steps away at 307 W. Palm Ave., Kōsen offers an intimate omakase experience in which the chef guides the meal course by course. With only a small number of seats, the evening feels personal from the first bite, making it ideal for a couple’s night out or a small gathering of adventurous diners.
Koya
In South Tampa, Koya at 807 W. Platt St. is another of the city’s celebrated omakase counters. The format rewards curiosity, with a progression of courses that showcases seasonal ingredients and meticulous technique. Seats are limited, so holiday dates are best booked well in advance.
Ebbe
Ebbe, at 1202 N. Franklin St., draws inspiration from Scandinavian cuisine and presents it as a tasting menu. Expect a thoughtful, unhurried evening in which each course builds on the last, an elegant choice for a milestone dinner or a quiet celebration before the holiday rush. Allow plenty of time, settle in and let the kitchen set the pace.

More to Savor
Beyond the stars, the 2026 guide recognizes a deep bench of Tampa restaurants on its Recommended list, including Lilac at the Tampa EDITION and the city’s legendary Bern’s Steak House, whose Harry Waugh Dessert Room remains a cherished holiday stop for many local families. The guide also awarded a Green Star to Fat Beet Farm Kitchen and Bakery, recognizing its commitment to sustainable gastronomy.
Planning Ahead
Holiday weekends book quickly at Tampa’s most sought-after restaurants, and tasting-menu and omakase formats often seat only a handful of guests each evening. Reserve as early as possible, share any dietary needs when booking and ask about private or group options if you are planning a larger celebration. When you call, ask whether the restaurant offers gift cards, too; a reservation for two at one of these tables may be the most memorable present under the tree. A little planning now makes for a far more relaxed, and far more delicious, season.
