Jonathan Kepko brings an uncommon combination of engineering expertise, military leadership, and litigation experience to his practice. Raised outside Columbus, Ohio, he first became interested in law while watching his father build his own practice, where Kepko worked as a file clerk and attended hearings. That early exposure sparked a lasting fascination with the profession and ultimately inspired him to forge his own path.
Kepko earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami before serving as a U.S. Air Force officer. During his active-duty career, he worked as an engineer on projects valued at more than $200 million and was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, where he led 81 airmen. After leaving active duty as a captain, he returned to the University of Miami for law school and gained practical experience as a law clerk at a boutique construction litigation firm. Today, he leads a team of experienced litigators representing construction subcontractors, landlords, and commercial tenants in complex disputes.
His practice encompasses construction litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, mold injury claims, premises liability, and general liability matters. Kepko approaches each case by evaluating a dispute from both sides, providing clients with a candid assessment of their risks and working toward the best possible outcome. Guided by his Christian faith, he emphasizes dignity, professionalism, and zealous advocacy. Outside the courtroom, he is a seven-time Ironman finisher and passionate cyclist who enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, often building family vacations around international races. Through The Laube Family Foundation, his family also shares a commitment to Tampa Bay, supporting organizations focused on creating safer communities and better opportunities for children.
A longtime Tampa Bay resident, Kepko values the region’s waterfront lifestyle, outdoor opportunities, and vibrant sports culture. He hopes to continue growing his Tampa practice while exploring future opportunities as a certified mediator or potentially within the judiciary. His advice to the next generation is simple: be kind, courteous, and professional—because reputation is earned through how you respond when circumstances are difficult.
