Optometrist & Ocular Disease Specialist
Dr. Carlos Naguib is a primary eye care physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized care while helping patients understand the connection between healthy eyes and overall well-being. As an optometrist with advanced training in ocular disease, he specializes in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions, including dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and other ocular diseases. He also has extensive experience providing pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing cataract and refractive surgery.
Dr. Naguib began his academic journey at the University of Toronto before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His commitment to advancing his clinical expertise continued through postgraduate training, including an externship at Orlando Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lake Nona and Kasten Eye Surgery Center. He completed several medical internships in Fort Lauderdale before completing a one-year medical residency at Newsom Eye in Tampa, Florida, where he gained valuable experience in medical eye care, ocular disease, and surgical co-management.
Beyond the exam room, Dr. Naguib has a passion for making a difference in communities both locally and around the world. He has participated in multiple medical service mission trips with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, traveling to Bolivia, Egypt, and Nicaragua to provide much-needed eye care to underserved communities. These experiences have strengthened his appreciation for compassionate care and the profound impact that better vision can have on a person’s quality of life.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Naguib enjoys staying active and competing in recreational basketball leagues. He is also fluent in both English and Arabic, allowing him to connect with and serve a diverse community of patients. Above all, he strives to make every patient feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their eye care.
