A Life & Career of Helping Others and Making a Difference

When Amy Bellhorn was 15 years old, she decided to become an attorney as a voice for the injured and disabled after being involved in a serious accident. She understands exactly what it feels like to be treated by others differently and not have her voice heard, because of an injury. After working as an attorney at Gulfcoast Legal Services, Inc. and at a few law firms, she founded her law firm in 2006 with a passion and desire to help others and treat them with respect, dignity, compassion and kindness.

Her law firm was recognized as the Best Disability Law Firm in St. Petersburg in 2023 & 2024 by LegalDirectorate.com, received numerous Clients’ Choice Awards & a perfect 10.0 rating on Avvo. She has received the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She has also been recognized by her peers as one of Tampa’s Men & Women of the Year 2025, Tampa’s Attorneys of the Year (2024 & 2025) & Tampa’s Top Women in Law 2025 in Tampa Style Magazine.

In a legal career that has spanned over 25 years, Amy has been honored to have been a member of various legal & non-legal organizations, on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations, served as an Adjunct Professor in the MBA Program at University of South Florida and as a mediator for over 20 years.

After enjoying over 20 years in business, Amy closed her law firm this year. It was her dream fulfilled to help others and be a voice for the injured and disabled. She is incredibly grateful for the privilege and honor for the clients she represented, cases mediated, and the Board of Directors and committees, legal and non-legal, she served on. She reflects on a life and career dedicated to helping others and making a positive and meaningful difference.
