Founder & Immigration Attorney
Ahmad Yakzan knows what it means to chase the American Dream, because he lived it. Born in Lebanon, he came to the United States as a young man with a single, stubborn goal: to become an attorney. The path wasn’t direct — he earned an AA from Brevard Community College, a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stetson University, and an MBA before he ever set foot in law school. In 2008, he earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, followed a year later by a Master of Law (LLM) in International Law.
Today, Ahmad is the founder and principal attorney of American Dream Law Office, PLLC, a Tampa-based immigration firm he built to be the advocate he once needed — one that now represents clients across Florida, New York, and Washington, D.C. His practice centers on removal defense, the intersection of criminal and immigration law, family-based petitions, and federal court litigation, areas where the margin for error is thin and the stakes are someone’s family.
Ahmad has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Immigration (2017–2020) and has held Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating — the highest available for legal ability and ethics — since 2019. He’s shared his story, and his clients’, on ABC News, hosts The American Dream Podcast, and is the #1 Amazon best-selling author of “The American Dream on Trial.”
Most recently, Ahmad launched ADLO.DIY, a flat-fee attorney-review service for immigrants filing their own USCIS forms — his answer to the gap between going it alone and affording full representation, born from watching too many families lose cases to one avoidable mistake.
Ahmad lives by the belief that immigration law isn’t just paperwork — it’s people, and the dream that brought them here in the first place.
