Imagine Orthodontic Studio
Dr. Brent Bowen’s path to orthodontics has taken him from Central Florida to the Middle East and back, and every stop shaped the doctor he is today.
Born in Orlando and raised in Central Florida, Dr. Bowen discovered his passion for dentistry while studying at the University of Central Florida. He went on to earn his DMD at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry, supported by an Army Health Professions Scholarship. That commitment led to distinguished service in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, including a deployment to Kuwait in support of Operation Desert Thunder and a role as Brigade Dental Surgeon, service that earned him multiple military honors.
After his military service, Dr. Bowen built a thriving general dentistry practice in Asheville, North Carolina. During his decade there, he pursued training in dental implantology and became an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Then he did something few established dentists would: he went back to school. Dr. Bowen completed his orthodontic residency and a Master of Science in Orthodontics at Seton Hill University, and went on to own an orthodontic practice in Missouri for seven years before selling it to seek his next challenge, a search that brought him full circle to Florida.
He joined Imagine Orthodontic Studio because he believed in what the organization was building: a culture rooted in excellence, integrity, and service, along with a shared vision for transforming lives through confident smiles. Today, with more than 25 years in dentistry and orthodontics, he blends clinical precision with genuine compassion for every patient. At Imagine’s Tampa studio in Temple Terrace, he treats kids, teens, and adults with braces and clear aligners. What he values most is mentoring his team and empowering others to be their best, a theme he explores in his book, Reach Your Smile.
When he’s not perfecting smiles, you’ll find him in the gym, tearing up trails on his mountain bike, or exploring new destinations.
